We are now hiring a People Business Partner, responsible for our Danish market to our Nordic people team. Our Nordic people team consists of People Business Partners representing all our markets and a People Operations Director. Together we develop the overall Nordic people agenda and support our operations by securing and developing the people that built our organisation.  

Overall description 

As a People Business Partner, you are close to the core business with interfaces in the Group and the Danish organisation​. You are responsible for implementing our people agenda in your market and making sure its compliant and followed. Since you work very closely to Operations Managers, establishing strong relationships and setting both expectations and demands, is a critical success factor for this position. On a Nordic level you represent your market in the Nordic People team and are expected to contribute to the development of the overall people strategy, but also drive People related activities on a Nordic level. You will be manager for one People Coordinator located in Copenhagen and you report to the People Operations Director.  

Main area of responsibility 

Execute & develop people strategy​

  • Contribute to the development of the overall people strategy.​ 
  • Keep Operations Directors & Operations Managers up to date on people initiatives and anchor people decisions​. 
  • Drive people projects and secure systems and buy-in in the local market​. 
  • Collaborate with the market leadership team to enable excellent People Development and an Espresso House culture​.
  • Train Operations Managers and Coffee Shop Managers in people processes to help them become independent and successful leaders​. 
  • Facilitate real change within the people and organizational field. 
  • Build the Espresso House culture and ensure values are reflected in daily practices and employee interactions. 
  • Through deep business understanding implement the overall people business plan. 

Ensure the employee experience​ 

  • Act as an advisor on people processes to ensure compliance​. 
  • Implement activities strengthening employer branding. ​ 
  • Collaborate with L&D to secure clear learning journey.​ 
  • Ensure the local market has and utilised the correct frameworks and guidelines on people processes​. 
  • Ensure local Operations Managers and CSMs have the right tools, systems & competence to enact HR admin tasks​. 

Collaboration​ 

  • Collaborate with group People function on developing new people strategies​. 
  • Collect input from the local market to feed into the overall people process development​. 
  • Have a close collaboration with local management on recruitment and development of our employees​. 
  • Lead the People Coordinator in Copenhagen. 

Who are you? 

You have an Academic degree in Human Resources or similar, and at least 5 years of experience in a HR position, preferably within the Food & Beverage Industry.  You are fluent in both English and Danish.  

To succeed in this position, you need to be a strong solution oriented doer, with a high sense of structure. You do not wait for a solution, you create the solution while waiting for a tool. Your performance will be highly impacted of your ability to build strong relationships and trust, why your capacity to set expectations and demands and being communicative are crucial. Since this position is close to the core business, it’s important that you have a strong business acumen, understanding where we as a people team create most value for our business.
